Silky O'Sullivan's present location on Beale Street, formerly the Gallina Building, is over 100 years old and has more recorded history than any other building on Beale Street. It was a saloon that ran all day and night with as amany as 14 bartenders. In addition to the bar and restaurant, there was a poker room and a race horse room. There were also hotel rooms that were especially favored by the theatrical and sporting world who visited Memphis.

So we make a toast to the visitors of the past -- such as Carusso and McCormick, opera stars and legends who partied there.

The Walk of Fame on the patio included handprints and signatures of such greats as : Bob Hope, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, Danny Thomas, and many other stars.
